Beijing Olympic Games 2008 Starts

An impressive display in the opening ceremony. I love the part where Li Ning light the final Olympic flame.
Finally Beijing Olympic starts, after 7 years of preparation, today everything start with a big bang. It really show China had come a long way from a weak country in the early 1900s to an economic power now.

Toy and Comic Convention 2008

Singapore Toy & Comic Convention 2008. Singapore first toy and comics convention. Although it is nothing like the one held in States,consider it is it's first convention, it is better than nothing. It take up about the size of a hall or two, small, but hopefully next year will be better.

I was there at about 3pm+, was too late to collect the Convention Passport (all were given out) :( ... why can't they just print more ?? .... So, no freebies for me #sob#




The Nintendo Wii booth was packed with people, and there, we can see Lord Vader battling a TIE fighter pilot on a game at the Wii. (Nope, loser won't be crashed by the Force Grip ..)






This is my most favourite display. A reenactment of the famous scene of the emperor arrival to the Dearth Star. The cast : Loads and loads of Starwars toy figurine. .. How I wish I can own them ... all of them :p

Euro2008

This 2 could my winning tickets. It was a dashed today in the early morning. All started well in the 1st half, 1-1, then continue to give me hope near the end at 86mins to the game with score 2-2.

But my hope was shattered on the 90mins with German scoring a 3-2.

They say the ball is round ... anything can happen. But till the end, the victory still goes to the favourite, the Germans. Well, we will see if Euro2008 will really surprise us with Russia emerge as the cup winner.

Was looking out my windows yesterday and saw these shade of colourful pink all around a tree.
My mum says it looks like 'local' version of Sakura.

Isn't this great that even out in this concrete jungle that we live in, there are always some beauty from nature popping out somewhere.
